Hey there, I’m George Atherton, and I run New Century Design. I spend my days designing and developing brands. I understand how much time and energy goes into running a business, so I’m here to help by creating the brand you’ve always dreamed of.
New Century Design was founded by my father, Jim, in 1992. He started working predominantly in print, which was his bread and butter for many years. In 2018, after ten years of working for design studios and artists in London, I moved back home to Somerset to take on the family business.
Today as a creative design agency we focus on branding, graphic design, illustration, website design, and packaging. As a one-man army, we a offer tailored and personal services to our clients, collaborating with a group of freelance designers and copywriters. Through a refined design approach, we produce meaningful design and brand communications.
We live in a busy, cluttered, and complicated world, and we believe in not adding to the unnecessary chaos. Our approach is to keep things simple, cut through the noise, eliminate faff and focus on creating meaningful small business brands and websites.
As a small graphic design agency, we avoid overly complicated processes and high rates that you might find with bigger agencies. We believe in providing a tailored and personal approach when it comes to working with clients. We steer clear of headache-inducing industry jargon and prefer straightforward conversations, ideally in person. We prioritise listening over talking to ensure we fully understand your needs.
