Project Review: Stag & Squire E-Commerce Website
STAG & SQUIRE E-COMMERCE WEBSITE DESIGN
The Culm Valley in Devon breeds people with individuality, passion and charm. This pocket of the West Country is home to antique dealers Stag and Squire, where they embrace the different and the bizarre.
S&Q run their business at full speed, from their home studio and farm, with three large red brick barns full to the brim with antiques and treasures, as well as a hand full of goats, chickens, cats and dogs.
With Devon debonair Dave Harris at the helm, they are a very exciting and forward thinking brand to work with and we have helped them in the past with business cards, brand identities and marketing material.
S&Q came to New Century Design with a website that had served them well since they began trading, but it was starting to look tired and out of date. S&Q were keen to step up their A-game in the antiques trade and to have a website that not only looked great and represented their brand, but increased their revenue.
We delivered a website that was stylish, modern and represented the S&Q brand but also most importantly focused on driving sales through their e-commerce shop. A shopping platform that was clean, minimal and with products separated into specific categories, the new website laid out an easy path for customers to navigate, browse and shop.
With a strong focus on selling product, we spent the day photographing S&Q’s catalogue of antiques. This provided a portfolio of product photographs, with plenty of white space ensuring that the antiques were the main focus.
SOCIAL MEDIA INTEGRATION
With Instagram and Facebook being a popular social platform for S&Q, we integrated their shop and products into their social accounts. This enabled S&Q to advertise and push products through their Instagram feed, in which clients could purchase direct without leaving the Instagram app.
